Pakistani and Malaysian companies inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) regarding making the collective efforts for ensuring advanced research and environmental development in for tanneries, sports and surgical industries of Sialkot.
Under this MoU, the Malaysian company would provide all the needed technical assistance, guidance to Sialkot business community regarding Sewage Treatment Plant, Industrial Wastewater treatment plants, combined Effluent Treatment Plant, Solid Waste management, Green Energy and, Hospital Waste Incinerators and air emissions control with possible solutions for tanneries, sports and surgical industries of Sialkot.
Addressing an important meeting of the Sialkot business community held at the Cleaner Production Centre (CPC) Sialkot, Mr Toney Liew Yuan Chin Managing Director PEM showed keen interest in making investment in establishing the well equipped water treatment plants in Sialkot industries through the Ministry of Environment Protection of Pakistan.
He said that by applying these Cleaner Production Techniques around 40 to 50 percent pollution load reduction has been observed in leather industry of Sialkot along with product quality improvement and reduction in cost of production, in this regard. Earlier, addressing an important meeting of the Sialkot business community held at CPC Sialkot, Mr. Toney Liew Yuan Chin (Managing Director of world renowned company M/s Pollution Engineering originated in Malaysia) gave a detailed presentation in this regard. On this occasion, the heads of Sialkot’s all the main trade bodies assured the Malaysian company to come forward for its investment in this regard to recommend this Malaysian company at every level in Pakistan. Addressing the meeting, Chairman Pakistan Gloves Manufacturers and Exporters Association Muhammad Younas said that the Malaysian company’s environmental protection technologies would further strengthen the partnership between Pollution Engineering Malaysia.
