
Ingredients : for 4 servings
- 1 mug of Pakistani basmati rice
- 1 onion
- 1 tbs salt
- 4 soup spoon of oil
- 1/2 mug of fresh green peas
- 1/2 tbs of cumin seeds (zeera)
- 4 cloves
- 1 cinnamon stick (darchini)
- 2 and a half mugs of water
Recipee :
- Soak the rice for 30 minutes.
- Heat oil in a large pan. Add the cumin seeds and the onion finely chopped.
- When the onion are golden brown add half mug of water, salt, green fresh peas, cloves and cinnamon.
- Now cook the mixture until the water reduce and the oil is separate.
- Add the remaining water, when it boil add the rice and mix.
- When the water is absorbed by rice, cover the pan and turn the heat to low.
- After 5 minutes remove the pan from heat and serve them hot with chicken curry, gosht or raita.
